Merry Oaks Coffee Roasters is a small batch coffee roaster located near Raleigh, North Carolina.  We are passionate about providing our customers with the freshest coffee possible. We also love helping people learn more about the whole experience of coffee, from the way beans are grown and processed to the best ways to prepare and enjoy a great cup of coffee. We also pride ourselves on the time and care we take with each batch of coffee we roast. All beans are roasted to order and will almost always be roasted within two days of being delivered to you.

There are a few things that are a little different about our business:

• We only sell our coffee locally. We may consider shipping in the future, but we have concerns about compromising the freshness of our beans.
• We strive to conduct our business in ways that are as sustainable as possible. We package almost all of our coffee in reusable glass jars, which we prefer to be returned to us (alternative packaging is available).

About Us

Merry Oaks Coffee Roasters is owned by Eli + Dawn Ruhl. We became interested in roasting coffee in 2006, when Dawn came across a website that detailed how to roast coffee at home. It was an 'a-ha' moment, one of many, in which we thought 'we can make that at home?!' Eli took the information she brought home, fashioned a coffee roaster, and the rest, as they say, is history. We couldn't believe how much better the beans tasted, and we couldn't keep the information to ourselves, so we started sharing our coffee with a few friends. They told their friends, and eventually people started asking if they could pay us for coffee beans. The nearly-4 years since then have allowed Eli to hone both his skills and his passion as a small batch coffee roaster.
